Two points from two games for Rafa Benitez, as the Spaniard continues Roberto Di Matteo’s poor run of results for the Blues. Rafa could be almost forgiven for drawing a blank against the reigning champions Manchester City; even at Stamford Bridge; but a nil-nil draw with their West London rivals Fulham has raised a few more eyebrows.

Some of the Chelsea faithful predicted that their beloved Blues could become boring under the leadership of Benitez; and it’s starting to look like that might just be the case; though many Chelsea fans said much worse things about the new boss.

Many pundits still think that Benitez might be the man to get the best out of misfit striker Fernando Torres, and the odds at Ladbrokes reflect this, as the frontman has become slightly less of a long shot to get the golden boot, like he miraculously managed at the European Championships in the Summer.

Torres might have seen more trophies at Stamford Bridge, but nobody would argue that he’s been performing as well as we all know he can do.
