Pizza – The Ultimate Student Meal
Hands up if you like cooking? Well although 12% of you recently voted that your ultimate meal comes from your very own hands in your kitchen, the majority of the student population voted to stay out of the grimy, stinky thing they call a kitchen at the end of their hall – possibly another failed honour system when it comes to washing your own dishes.
So what is the ultimate student meal for those who choose order in or eat out? Let’s break it down (yes the answer is also in the title :-))
41% Pizza
19% Sandwiches Sub
13% Burger and fries
12% Home cooking (soup/stew, ramen, stir fry, sandwich)
10% Kebab
5% Soup / Salad
I have to say that I wasn’t too surprised by these results. I am a huge pizza fan. It’s just convenient. Ability to spice it up with different toppings and the convenience of calling in an order for delivery or ordering pizza online makes pizza top of my list. (Does anyone know how to order a salad online for delivery?)
Some students are ferocious about defending their choice of the ultimate student meal as well as their brands. Dominos Pizza was a clear winner in our survey with Subway Sandwiches, McDonald’s and Burger King coming in as runners up.
