Santa is Visiting The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead

| November 23, 2010 | 0 Comments

From 11th December until the day before Christmas Eve, The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead will offer youngsters the unique opportunity to meet Santa Claus in his natural surroundings, on real snow slopes.

All proceeds of Santa’s Cabin will be going to the local Hospice of St. Francis in Berkhamsted to support families and patients living with life limiting illnesses.

The magical winter wonderland in Hemel Hempstead is one of the only places you’ll be guaranteed a white Christmas. Children aged 4 – 11 years old will meet Santa in his snowy Cabin where they’ll receive a present from the jolly man himself. Then they will slide, glide and spin down the snow in a Rubber Ringo all for £9.

Unfortunately the very little ones, under 4 years, aren’t allowed in the Ringos but we can still offer a magical visit to Santa in the snow where they will receive a present from him for £6.50. Give your children the ultimate Christmas experience of meeting Santa in the snow and don’t forget your camera!

Elise Hyslop, marketing manager at The Snow Centre, said: “We’re very excited that Santa’s Grotto is returning, it was very popular last year. Unfortunately, we’ve been struggling to find a suitable individual to pull on the red suit this year. We are still looking for a Santa that has all of the right credentials and is generous enough to give up his time to help us raise a sack full of money for St Francis.”

That’s why the Snow Centre has started the search for the perfect Father Christmas last week.

Right now, the jury is making a list and checking it twice. The five finalists will be announced at the beginning of December. The finalists will be invited to take part in a ‘Santa Recruitment Day’, where they will meet the elves and undertake a number of festive challenges such as wrapping gifts and a competition who can eat the most mince pies in one minute.

Prospective Santas can email their application to santasearch@finncomms.com until Thursday 25th November, including a picture of themselves, a copy of a recent CRB certificate and a 100-word explanation of why they think they should be the one to decide who has been naughty and who has been nice in Hemel Hempstead this year.

As Santa will only be at The Snow Centre for a limited time, we strongly advise advanced booking early.
