As you would expect from what is believed to be England’s oldest golf club, Royal Blackheath has plenty of history behind it. With challenging bunkers on every hole, it’s important to keep your drives straight as even the merest slice could see you drift into the sand. After you’ve finished, a trip to the magnificent clubhouse for some refreshment will be in order.

Royal Wimbledon

Sitting in this leafy part of south London, playing Royal Wimbledon is a fair and interesting test for all golfers. Despite being a comparatively short 6,348 yards (5,627 for female golfers), what it lacks in length is made up for in traps such as bunkers and water hazards. If you fancy a gentle stroll, then for as little as £35, a round here could be yours.
