Should students use dating sites?
The most exciting element of starting university for most students is to meet new people, especially new partners. Whether it’s in halls of residence, at lectures or down the union bar, you are usually faced with hundreds of new people you can make friends or possibly more with. Dating sites have been around for a decade now and have quickly gone from a ‘sad, geeky’ thing to do to being embraced and used by celebrities and ‘everyone talking about it’. The stigma has well and truly been dropped and dating online makes up a part of many a conversation. For students, the stigma has also gone, and it’s a great way to meet new people.
There are two ways for a student to use a dating site a. to meet other single people at the college they are attending and b. to meet other students at other colleges. There is no better adventure that heading up a motorway and meeting someone new at a different college, hitting a new bar and having some fun. We think it’s a great way to expand both your social circle and your network.
