When I grow up I want to be a bin man? a cleaner? a costume character? a _________ ?

Ask anyone to fill in the blank and you might get more than a few answers of “McDonald’s worker”.

But why is it that we love to hate so much? In fact, without bin men and cleaners the UK wouldn’t be such a nice place and imagine a world without McDonald’s.

The saying that a company’s most valuable asset is its people is especially true with such a service orientated business such as McDonald’s and they’re out to make you think the next time you think badly of their peeps!

Every day in the UK, McDonald’s servers over 2 million customers. In front of each customer there’s a friendly and hard-working person who might be more than you think.

McDonald’s employs people who are looking for flexible hours, accredited training, fantastic career prospects and they offer other benefits that fit around people’s lifestyles – be it as full/part time students, parents and trainee managers.

So the next time you’re in line waiting for your Big Mac, ask yourself if McDonald’s could be a nice fit for you?
