Calling all ski and snow board fanatics and wannabes – On Friday 27th August from 7pm – 11pm you’re invited to try out all new snowboard gear from the 2011 collection of top brands Burton and Flow.

This event will be held at The Snow Centre, which is conveniently located just 20 minutes outside of London. Summer in London might not conjure up visions of ski slopes, but maybe it will after you visit The Snow Centre.

There will be representatives from both brands present to help snowboarders choose the right board to fit their riding style and to answer any questions regarding the new collections.

Flow is well known for their Triple Threat Technology (T3); fully integrated boards, boots and bindings. Their new board features a revolutionary new base geometry, combining a slight curve for more forgiving turns with a special reverse camber.

Burton has joined forces with Adidas Originals and top British designer Paul Smith in order to combine the latest in snowboard technology with stylish design.  Their new partnership with Adidas has resulted in a limited edition line of men’s apparel and footwear.

Paul Smith has designed the 2011 Burton Vapor snowboard. Artist Francoise Nielly of France has designed the Lip-Stick Limited Edition.  This women’s board is built with Flying V™, which combines snappy suspension of camber with a catch free float of rocker.

There’s also another event at The Snow Centre on 8th October, Burton will be coming back as part of the Burton Hi5 Tour, the team will be visiting every indoor snow centre in the UK. They will be bringing along 5 new park shapers to create unique settings for the freestyle competition.

The competitors will be having fun and so will the locals who’ll be given the chance to try their hand at creating the ultimate park with five obstacles and the riders will cast their votes to see which slope was the most fun to ride. The winner will win the Golden Shovel Award, a limited edition package from Burton and the title of “Best Park In Britain”.

The combined demo night will take place during a freestyle session at The Snow Centre. To test ride the latest Flow and Burton equipment, visitors need to book a Freestyle Lift Pass for Friday 27th August via 0845 258 9000 or www.thesnowcentre.com
